We are thrilled to announce that registration for CHI 2026 is officially open!! We are delighted to invite you to join us at the premier conference in Human-Computer Interaction on April 13 through the 17th. Whether you are a long-time contributor or attending CHI for the first time, we look forward to welcoming you to a space where research, creativity, ideas and community meet. CHI 2026 will be an in-person event (if you need to present a paper or poster but cannot attend there will be an option in your accept notice). We encourage you to register early to secure reduced early bird rates and guarantee access to this very exciting CHI.
As always, CHI 2026 will bring together researchers, practitioners, students and industry leaders from around the world. This year we have a new 5 day program and format. The whole program (papers, workshops, and everything) runs from April 13 through the 17th. As in previous years, there will be two world-class keynote speeches to open and close the conference. The daily program will run full paper sessions in the mornings, followed by workshops, panels, meetups, interactivity, posters, student-mentoring program, and more in the afternoons. Also new for this year, workshops are included in the registration without an extra fee.
This year, we have an additional option of ordering boxed lunches. While there are some restaurants near the convention center, they are limited in capacity. So instead of the rush and the wait…we’re offering a boxed lunch to pickup on site (sold at cost). The convention center is alongside a park on the Balearic Sea which is a great place to get some fresh air and enjoy lunch without the hustle and bustle. There are also seating areas inside the convention center too.
And let us not forget the coveted CHI-themed plushie! What it is we cannot say (yet!) but this year you will have an option to pre-order your plushie! No more rush to the ticket desk on Wednesday to try and snag one. So now, you can order one with your registration and it will be waiting for you. As a matter of fact, you can order two. (The plushie option is coming soon…you can complete registration now and come back later to add it.)
