The CHI 2026 Student Research Competition (SRC) is seeking expressions of interest from HCI researchers to review 3–5 student submissions between late January and mid-February 2026.
If you are interested in joining our review panel, please sign up here: https://forms.gle/39Z8Mze3K1sfjEz69
The SRC is one of the long-standing formats at CHI, continuing the tradition of highlighting exceptional student work within the CHI community. As an interactive track, it will be featured in the afternoon program of CHI 2026.
This format has consistently brought outstanding contributions to the forefront of CHI, including:
- Sarah Dunn (2025): ”What Brings You Here Today?: Challenges for Clinicians Communicating Data to Patients”
- Jullia Lim (2024): ”The Potential of Learning With AI-Generated Pedagogical Agents in Instructional Videos”

Who can review?
We welcome HCI researchers who hold a PhD. While experience with reviewing or publishing at CHI is encouraged, we especially invite reviewers active in other HCI venues to participate.
What’s involved?
As a reviewer, you’ll evaluate submissions based on a set of predefined criteria and provide a brief justification for your ratings. Full-length reviews are not required.
Thank you for supporting the next generation of HCI researchers!
